Our History
SiFoCol, the Dominica Six Form College, Class of 1983 developed its social platform in 2019 providing a space for alumni to maintain contact, socialize, and engage in worthwhile projects in Dominica. Originally limited to the Class of 1983, the group later expanded its membership to include all alumni and was formalized and incorporated in 2020 as the Dominica SiFoCol Alumni Association (DSAA) – a registered Non-Profit Organization in Dominica and the US.
The roots of the DSAA can be traced back to SiFoCol, the Six Form College, which has a long and storied history as a cornerstone of educational development in Dominica. Over the years, Dominica State College evolved from various institutions that were established over the years to meet the changing demands of Dominica’s advancing student population, namely, the Dominica Technical College, the Clifton Dupigny Community College, the Sixth Form College, the Princess Margaret Nursing School, and the Teacher Training College.
Throughout its history, the institution has been dedicated to providing quality education and opportunities for advancement to generations of students. Founded on principles of excellence, innovation, and inclusivity, the Dominica State College has upheld a legacy of academic excellence and service to the community.
This Alumni Association, as an extension of this legacy, remains dedicated to fostering a culture of learning, collaboration, and social responsibility among its alumni. By engaging DSAA Alumni and DSAA supporters in meaningful projects and initiatives, DSAA contributes to the ongoing development and prosperity of Dominica and its people.
