From SiFoCol to Saving Lives: Dr. Jennifer Liburd’s Journey of Service, Leadership, and Legacy

Dr Jennifer Liburd

Dr. Jennifer Liburd is the 1st Vice President of DSAA and Chair of its Dialysis Committee.

She attended the Sixth Form College before pursuing higher education in New York, where she graduated from Hunter College and subsequently earned her MD degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine.

Dr. Liburd completed her residency training at Montefiore Medical Center and currently works in the Pediatric Emergency Department at BronxCare Health System.

As one of the founding members of DSAA, Dr. Liburd was inspired to join others in supporting a classmate in need.

As the organization continues to grow and expand its reach within the Dominican community, she believes DSAA has the potential to become a trailblazing organization, leaving behind a lasting legacy of inspiration, commitment, and service.

What words of encouragement would you share with the next generation of Dominicans?

“Dare to believe in the impossible and forge your own path.”
