The Dominica SiFoCol Alumni Association Community Social Impact Grant is dedicated to supporting and empowering local community organizations and non-profits in Dominica.
Annually, DSAA has an open application period where the local community, non profits etc can apply for local grants. A committee of X of DSAA members and two independent non DSAA community leaders review all applications. Three recipients are selected and are offered grants amounts approved by the board.
Additionally, DSAA assists needs based students of Dominica State College, identified by the college.
In the past DSAA has supported college students, both at home in Dominica as well as in one of our neighboring islands, impacted by natural disasters.
Through fundraising initiatives such as our Annual White Sunset Charity Event, we fundraise to help our local financially strapped and struggling non profits, who rely largely on the generosity of the gifting public for their operations.
